Capsicum annuum
The Lombok chili, Capsicum Annuum, is from Indonesia. Originates from the island of Lombok and is basically grown there due to its great flavour. The plant grows to just under a meter in a pot and would get bigger, if you plant it in the ground. The Lombok chili produces heaps of pods up to 15 cm long and bout 2 cm wide and is a great looking plant in either pots or in the ground.
90 days. (red) An excellent hot drying pepper with great taste and rich color. Fruits measure one inch at the shoulder and taper to 5-6 in. long on three foot plants. The lower third of the fruit is without heat and may be eaten like a sweet pepper. Indonesian heirloom strain. start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures.
Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days.
Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest chiles when they are green.
