HEUCHERA AMERICANA MARVELOUS MARBLE™ SILVER
Foliage perennial with changing leaf color. Excellent vigor for great pot and garden performance.. Early spring leaves are purple. As temperatures increase, leaf color changes to green with dark veins. Heucheras are evergreen, mounding perennials that are attractive year round. Heuchera Americana Marvelous Marble™ Silver displays marbled, silver-green leaves with dark purple veins. The purple leaf color changes as the growing season progresses. Displays white, bell-shaped flowers on tall stalks. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds! An excellent groundcover for dry shade. Also good in borders or large containers. Heuchera will tolerate full sun in more Northern areas as long as adequate moisture is provided.
Many gardeners recommend that Heuchera seeds be stratified, which means that they must be refrigerated and put through a cold period lasting several weeks. Once the flower seed has been refrigerated for several weeks, it can be sown indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost. Using quality starter mix and starter trays, sow Coral Bells seeds into cells, pressing the flower seed into the soil. Keep Heuchera seed moist. When temperature are consistently warm outdoors and danger of frost has passed, young Heuchera seedlings can be hardened off moved outdoors.
