Pansies can't be beat for bringing cool season color to flower beds and pots.

In zones 6 and above pansy seeds can be started in summer, planted out in fall.

Extremely versatile and free flowering for patio planters, window boxes, baskets, rockeries and beds and borders.

What a delightful and reliable little beauty! Grown from Pansy seeds, this Flame giant Pansy has sturdy stalks bearing large orange-scarlet flowers with a black blotch.

This variety of Pansy in considered to be a biennial. In mild-winter areas, Pansies will provide color as they will bloom over winter and in to the spring. In colder climates, enjoy the giant Pansy with large 3 inch blossoms spring through summer.

Pansies are at home in borders, beds and containers, or between bulbs. Pansy care includes deadheading flowers to prolong the flowering season and to keep flowers more attractive.

Sow Flame giant Pansy seeds indoors about 6 - 8 weeks prior to being able to plant outside. Sow the flower seed into trays or pots using a quality starter mix and cover lightly with peat moss. Shade the trays or pots as darkness aids germination. Keep Pansy seeds moist.

As soon as the giant Pansy seedlings emerge, move them to a cool, bright area and continue to keep them moist.

Harden off the Pansy plants prior to planting out. Plant in good quality soil or compost and keep slightly moist

For fall blooms, set out Pansies as early as possible so they will be well rooted when soil temperatures fall, preferably 3 - 4 weeks before the first harsh frosts. For spring blooms, begin setting out Swiss giant Pansy plants up to a month before your last frost is expected. Twelve weeks are needed from seeding to bloom.
Feed periodically and pick of faded blooms to maintain fresh production.
