Hen and Chickens Poppy ,flowers Seeds

The large, pale lilac flowers that are borne in summer are followed by a curious arrangement of seed pods in which the usual central pod has arising from its base several little seed pods giving the impression of a mother hen surrounded by her brood of little chickens.
