GREAT CUT FLOWERS ,Pots, border and garden. Attractive for butterflies and bees.

Dahlia Melody Mambo decorates gardens from early summer to late autumn. Its stunningly beautiful, red flowers that measure up to 12 centimetres in diameter, provide an excellent bright accent for borders and planters. The Melody Mambo dahlia offered in our store belongs to low-growing ornamental varieties. Its lush tufts of dense, dark green foliage, and slightly taller stalks are 40 to 50 centimetres tall. They fit into a home garden and a plot with a summer cottage equally well. This dwarf, brightly coloured dahlia offers great material for an edging or a rock garden. Dahlia flowers are durable when cut, what makes them suitable for both idyllic bouquets and festive occasion arrangements.

  • The perfect addition to your summer patio -
  • Great in pots and containers.
    •  Good for cutting
    •  Loved by pollinators
    •  Tender perennial
    •  Prefers full sun

Dahlias are thermophilic plants. You can plant them only after the spring frosts have passed. Forcing seedlings in pots earlier seems to be a logical choice. Plant dahlia rhizomes shallowly below the ground. Water plants abundantly and place pots in a warm, bright place.

In a garden, dahlia needs a warm, wind-protected, and sunny situation. even though dahlias tolerates partial shade, flowering there would be way more spectacular than at a sunny location. Choose loose, well-cultivated, well-drained soil with a neutral or slightly alkaline reaction. Dahlias need watering whenever the soil starts to dry out. Production of charming flowers and lush foliage requires plenty of effort from the plant. Fertilize dahlias two or three times a year. Use a multi-component fertilizer that provides plants with a complete set of necessary nutrients.

Dahlias are not resistant to low temperatures. Dig out their tuberous roots just after the first frost in autumn. Dry the rootstock, clean of soil remnants, and store in a box filled with sand or sawdust in a dry and cool room until the next planting in spring.
