This early maturing, non-GMO, open pollinated soybean, or edamame, is a popular Japanese variety that yields a prolific quantity of pods containing 3 to 4 beans each. The pod has white pubescence. Most of the pods mature at the same time for ease of harvest. The bushy plants need warm day and cool night temperatures for good results.

How to Grow Soybeans

You can grow soybeans that you eat fresh, such as edamame, or you can grow beans that you will allow to dry.
Direct sow outside after danger of last frost. Plant about 4â apart and 1â below soil surface. Rows should be spaced at 24â-30â apart.
