Germander (Teucrium Chamaedris) - The woody perennial can be grown from Germander seeds! It's a wonderful addition for the herb garden, making the perfect border plant. It can be trimmed like a hedge. Germander, or also called Wall Germander, has a history of medicinal uses and is used in the manufacture of liqueurs, vermouths, and tonic wines. Its most frequent use is as a small evergreen ornamental hedge in formal herb gardens. Germander herb will grow in almost any soil as long as it is well-drained, and it requires little water to keep green. Germander produces lovely violet colored blooms in the summer and continues for weeks of color. The blooms attract both bees and butterflies. The stems and flowers can be cut, dried and used to make wreaths and dried arrangements.

How To Grow Germander: Sow Germander seeds indoors 4 - 6 weeks before the last frost. Using a starter mix, sow the herb seeds on the surface and keep moist. Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. The Germander herb plant spreads so it is recommended to trim it back each spring to keep it neat and compact.

Approximately 1,000 seeds covers 100 square feet
