HEAL ALL Prunella (Prunella Grandiflora Rubra Purple Herb,Flower Seeds !
Prunella (Prunella Grandiflora Rubra) - Grow Prunella seed and enjoy this ground cover plant that is popular in Europe and is becoming increasingly popular here in the United States.
It is also known as Self Heal, and it was believed during the Middle Ages to have healing properties. Knights actually carried leaves of the Self Heal plant with them to use on wounds. Now, Prunella Self Heal is known for being a compact, spreading perennial with prolific blooming abilities! Because of its nature, it makes a perfect ground cover plant, and it takes some light foot traffic as well.
These wonderful reddish-purple blossoms are very attractive to butterflies and other beneficial garden insects.
Prunella flowers arise in clusters 1 3/4 inches across, and they are long-lasting and unique. If you live in a very hot climate, you may notice the blooms cease during the hottest weeks, but they will resume when the temperatures cool.

Sow Prunella Rubra seeds in late winter, indoors. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Lightly cover the Prunella seeds with a fine sprinkling of peat moss. Place in a warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 65 - 70F. After sowing keep the surface of the compost moist but not soggy. When large enough to handle, transplant the Prunella seedlings into 3 inch pots. Gradually harden the seedlings to outdoor conditions for 10 - 15 days before planting out after all risk of frost. Space plants 12 inches apart or plant in containers.
