Astilbe 'Peach Blossom' has delicate rose pink blooms and dark, glossy green foliage. Compact in habit, it's perfect for small gardens and long-term container displays, as long as the soil can be kept moist.
Plant care: Needs regular watering in pots

Nonstop blooms on a naturally small Astilbe that remains compact throughout the season while blooming almost nonstop. Tiny at only 12" high this series of Astilbes have the full range of color found in this species from white to pink to deep rose. Fantastic along the front of planting borders and containers.

Astilbe are reliable rhizomatous herbaceous perennials with attractive divided leaves and erect plume-like blooms between July and September. 'Sprite' is one of the smaller varieties with plumes of light pink flowers in dense pyramidal clusters, with glossy lobed mid-green foliage. Forms an attractive clump which looks good in borders or containers. The old, brown flower-heads remain attractive in autumn extending the period of interest. Very pest resistant and requires no maintenance before being cut completely back in the autumn to allow new shoots in the spring. Likes full sun or partial shade and not fussy on soil. Good for cut or dried flowers

Planting Instructions: May be planted in any well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is about 1-2 inches below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly.

Pests or Diseases: Slug resistant, deer resistant, resistant to walnut toxicity. Bothered by Japanese beetles and spider mites.
